You will certainly be spoilt for choice when dining out in North Cyprus. We couldn’t begin to list all of the Famagusta and Iskele restaurants let alone the fantastic restaurants in Kyrenia and Nicosia but here are a few of our favourites, many of which are frequented on Cyprop Inspection Trips.

Dragons Chinese Restaurant at the Rocks Hotel – fabulous Chinese food, great for a special occasion. From around £35 per person with beer or wine. Closed Mondays.
Niazis, opposite the Dome Hotel – great Turkish Cypriot food cooked on a charcoal fire in the restaurant. When dining here you must try their Full Kebab! From around £15 per person with beer or wine. Open 7 days a week until around 11pm.

The Archway Restaurant, Zeytinlik – Voted the Best Restaurant in North Cyprus for several years running, the Archway offers an eating experience in traditional Turkish Cypriot food; the Full Kebab just keeps coming and coming! From around £20 per person with beer or wine. Closed Mondays.

El Sabor Latino, opposite the Savoy Hotel – this is the third restaurant to open in the Sabor chain and one that’s not to be missed if you like Spanish or Italian food. There is a great choice of Tapas and the steaks are cooked exactly as you like them. From around £15 per person with beer or wine.
Rafters, Karakum – an unusual venue for an Indian Restaurant with a wonderful garden setting in the summer. Main course dishes include rice and nan bread. The food is great value at around £15 per person including beer or wine. Take away service also available.
Bellapais Gardens Restaurant, Bellapais – Cypriot and International cuisine in a friendly atmosphere with great views. From around £25 per person with wine.

Efendi, Old Turkish Quarter – If you have just one night left in Kyrenia you should try to eat at Efendi. You will receive a warm welcome from Andy and Amy in their 400 year old Ottoman House and the ‘fusion’ food is fabulous. From around £30 per person including with wine. Lunchtime menu only on Sundays, closed Mondays.

Büyük Han – sit and enjoy traditional Turkish Cypriot mezes and kebabs in 16th century surroundings at any of the small cafes and restaurants in and around the Old Inn.

In the square, opposite the Venetian Palace arches – Sit in the shade in the square or indoors under an ancient domed roof and enjoys the spicy warm Tai beef or chicken salad. Also a good selection of traditional Turkish kebabs. From £10 with drinks.
Moon over the Water – on the beachfront just between Iskele and Bogaz, a great place to stop and relax for an hour or two.

Dragon Chinese, Yeni Bogazici – part of the same group with the Dragon restaurant in Kyrenia so this has to be good!
Bogaz Hotel Restaurant, Bogaz Harbour – set in an idyllic spot overlooking the fishing harbour and a small beach, you should try the hot fish mezes and the fish of the day (the red mullet are particularly good). From about £20 per person with drinks.
The Garden Restaurant, Bahceler Iskele – fresh vegetables from their own garden and a great choice of seafood and meat dishes. From £20 including drinks.
